Edit 2:  Corrupted cache Are you using Exchange? I hope this isn't perminent and there is a better solution then changing all my roaming clients to Cached Mode. Cached Exchange is greyed out on my remote desktop server as well and can't be enabled.
The procedure to get this enabled are as follows Enabling the Calendar & Task Reminders Go to Tools->options->Other->Advanced Options->Reminder Options Click on the “display the Reminder check box” They are not in cache mode and the reminder option is enabled.
