Hadn't used them at all. Prior to going to them I restored to factory settings locked bootloader etc. Pulling the battery should be a step for a lot of "lockup" type things that happen to the Pre. If you are able to adjust these settings without headphones plugged in then you are stuck in headset mode. Pre haven't seen anyone else recommend these but after you can easily operate the device without. Read lots of posts, synced my phone, updated the software. lol man I was gettin frustrated too.

Little tedious but it does work. Fairphone does not have the capacity to test headphones and is not in a position to endorse the use of brands or types of headphones. I keep plugging and unplugging the headphone jack, hoping it will suddenly work, but it does not.

If their is a different store in your area I would try that one and see if you get any different results...I would say that Palm has done a horrible job

  1. I'm just worried that, like some people on this forum, the plugging and unplugging fix will cease to work.
