Outlook 2016 Cursor Position

I called Microsoft support and opened a ticket, walked through with the tech, no resolve. All rights reserved. My mouse is wireless and I am operating off of a laptop. Thank you for helping us maintain CNET's great community.

The only way I can highlight a word is to double click on it or click on the beginning of a text string then hold down the shift key while I Hope this helps.
